Overview of the Level 1 Wellness Coaching Course

Have you ever wondered what creates the gap (or gulf) between what people say they want and what they actually do? Wellness Coaching combines theory from Coaching Psychology, Behaviour Change and Positive Psychology to help you work with clients and explore the mental aspects of creating lifestyle change (more detail below).

Participants will come away with a better understanding of how to incorporate coaching into their work and how to help their clients to make change in a more effective and long lasting way.

Your clients get the benefit of your training because you can empower them to make incremental, healthy changes to their lifestyle habits, on their terms, in their own time, within Wellness Coaching’s framework of goal setting accountability.

The course is very hands-on and packed with demos and exercises. At the end of the course, you’ll also be given the opportunity to join the Business Membership to further your professional development. The Level 1 course is the pre-requisite for the Level 2 Course.

Who could benefit from the Level 1 Wellness Coaching Course?

The Level 1 Course is targeted at health and fitness professionals who wish to work as coaches and it goes beyond the realm of just ‘fitness’. It’s actually essential training for anyone who wishes to work with people at more than just a superficial level. And, the level 1 workshop is also suitable for anyone undergoing their own change journey.

That’s because you’ll learn ways of working with people to overcome the many barriers that get in the way of successful and long-lasting change. You’ll also learn a way of communicating that will enrich your own life and relationships with others and yourself.

If you are looking for a new way of working with clients to help them achieve their goals and a more satisfying and stimulating model to use, then you will really enjoy this workshop. It’s ideal for any health professional working with clients who need to change habits for better health. For example:

  • Personal trainers, training studios, gyms and health clubs.
  • Personal trainers who work closely with a referral network of allied health professionals, whose clients need to make change
  • Nutritionists and dieticians
  • Naturopaths and holistic health practitioners
  • Doctors
  • Physiotherapists
  • Chiropractors.

Course duration and venue details

  • One day course, 9am – 5pm in city CBD venues (venues advised near time of course). 
  • 8 CECs with Fitness Australia; 2 PDPs with Kinect Australia; 10 CECs with REPS NZ )
  • Morning and afternoon snacks, tea and coffee are provided
  • Cost $325, or early bird rate $305 if booked two weeks in advance. GST is included in the price.

    • Empower your clients to make lasting change in the areas of nutrition, exercise, stress management, weight management, life balance and energy
