We are taking expressions of interest at this stage for our March 2026 residential, tentatively scheduled for 15-19 March 2026 to see if there is sufficient participant numbers for dates to be set in that month.
Our in-person training really is a passion project for us as we love the personal contact. We keep the price as low as possible to cover hard costs however but of course have minimum participant numbers.

An Immersive Training Experience...
Get off ZOOM and start training with like minded people “in-person” with our Residential Intensive Program. Known for giving participants an experience that extends well beyond just professional training, our residential program allows you to immerse yourself in the health coaching process at a personal and professional level to truly discover the power of our practice and how you can incorporate this into your work and life.
We invite you to join us our next Residential Coach Training Program on the Gold Coast in November 2026. Over 5 days we will be taking you through the live and practical based training component of the Advanced Skills and Practice program that is within all our qualification courses, fast tracking this section of your studies that would typically take 4 months to complete. This intensive can potentially reduce your overall study time down to 1 month, allowing you to gain your certification and start working sooner.
- Our senior trainers will take you through a program of highly participatory lectures, rich with hands-on practical learning, coaching demonstrations, case studies, role play and real-time mentoring and feedback. You will gain the highest quality of learning through this immersive format and leave feeling confident in how to begin using coaching as a method of communication.
- Train alongside other like-minded people and start to build a network within the coaching community which will stand you in good stead for the future. Support and interaction of peers has been shown to greatly enhance learning and enjoyment of the course.
- Following the retreat, participants will continue their journey with ongoing support allowing time to absorb, practice and integrate key learning from their time together.
Who this residential is for:
- Anyone who is interested in face-to-face, hands-on practical based training.
- Anyone who wishes to fast-track their studies and potentially reduce their study time frame by 3-4 months.
- Anyone wishing to complete an approved certificate qualification to become formally accredited Health and Wellness Coach with HCANZA or NBHWC where you attend the residential as part of your enrolment within a qualification course. Additional self-study units to complete before or after the residential.
- Health, fitness or wellness professionals who wish to learn health coaching skills as professional development, and to incorporate these skills within their current client services.

Join WCA founder and managing director, Fiona Cosgrove on Tuesday 29th September where she will be hosting a free information session on ZOOM for those interested in joining our upcoming Intensive Residential on the Gold Coast in November 2026.
In this session she will give you an overview of the Residential, what to expect and also have an opportunity for you to ask questions. We have also invited a past participant to join us so you can ask them questions directly on their experience.

The Venue - Rydges Gold Coast
Our upcoming intensive residential will be hosted at the recently built Rydges Gold Coast, a mere minutes’ walk from the Gold Coast airport and overlooking the beautiful Tugun and Kirra beaches.
Stroll to the beachfront that is only a 5 minute walk away, or relax by the 25m outdoor landscaped resort style swimming pool after an immersive training day with us. Work out in the fully equipped gym with cardio machines overlooking the airport runway.

- Full enrolment in the HCANZA and NBHWC approved Professional Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching including all self paced units to work through in your learner portal.
- Residential Training program has you undertaking the practical unit within the Professional Certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching - "Advanced Skills and Practice in Health and Wellness Coaching (Level 3)' unit
- 4 nights’ accommodation in a Concourse Deluxe room at Rydges Gold Coast.
- Daily buffet breakfast, morning/afternoon tea refreshments and a la carte lunch included.
- Welcome drinks and canapes on the first night and offsite group dinner on the final night (drinks at own expense).
- 4 ½ days of practical, hands-on training sessions commencing with a short session on Sunday afternoon and concluding Thursday afternoon. Includes all hard copy course materials.
- Post Residential Learning Portal with approximately 30 hours of self-study activities and assessments to submit to formally complete the Advanced Coaching unit. Includes the “Coach a Client” case study recordings and final practical coaching assessment.

Yes payment plans are available however depending on when you register, your monthly instalments will differ. A large portion of the combined course and training program fee must be paid for prior to your arrival at the training program. Yes we can definitely exclude the accommodation and breakfast from your package. This will reduce the combined course and training program fee by $960.
You will have 12 months from the time of commencing the course to have completed all the individual units in the course. These include the self study units as well as the units associated with the Residential Training itself.
Yes. After the Residential Intensive we will hold 2 supervisory webinars with your group to help with the post residential work to be completed. Our team will also be available on email or phone anytime you need support. We also have one on one mentoring calls available to prepare you for the final practical skills assessment required to be formally certified.
