Foreword from Dr Tabitha Healy
Retired Medical Oncologist, Board Member HCANZA, Executive and Personal Health Coach
“A cancer diagnosis is often overwhelming and navigating the health care space can be all consuming. Whilst medical teams are dedicated to prescribing and supervising the treatment needed, a lack of time and resources may prevent them from tailoring this to the individual’s priorities, understanding and environment. A Health Coach who has up-skilled in Cancer Coaching can support patients in understanding the process and in implementing lifestyle modifications that can assist with treatment and beyond. When unwell, so much is out of your control but an accredited Health Coach can assist patients to take back control of their mindset, wellbeing and health goals.”
